A GIRL'S RANDOM THOUGHTS

Sitting on her bed, she kept on thinking...reflecting...
She had dated nearly all kinds of guys. The ones wanting commitment, the ones abhorring them as a pest, the ones still thinking about it, and then finally the ones who have no time for it. She had travelled nearly all dimensions of love and relationships (at least that what she thought).but now...she was back to square one. What she wanted was still a mystery for her. On the career front, she was at the zenith of it, she earned real well. She had a family back at her home town. A really happy and a complete family. She had equally good social life. But then, what was it that was still required? a perk at the work place? a better flat? a new wardrobe? a vacation perhaps?no.none of them. What she needed was time. For herself. Time to analyse what she actually wanted out of life now. After what all she ever wanted was achieved, she needed to set new goals and ambitions in life. To keep moving ahead. She didn’t need a relationship. She needed AIM. a new AIM.
Realizing this...she got up from her bed and sat at her table. she opened her diary...and wrote...THINGS TO DO TOMORROW.

LANDMARK JUDGEMENT BY THE SUPREME COURT SPARKS NEW HOPES FOR BHULLAR.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday commuted the death penalty of fifteen convicts belonging to the gang of infamous sandalwood smuggler Veerappan, to life sentence on account of delay in deciding their mercy pleas. They had filed their mercy pleas back in 2004.
The ruling from the court which read “Inordinate and unreasonable delay attribute to torture. Whether the convict is a terrorist or an ordinary criminal, delay is a ground for commutation of death sentence," has risen new hopes for Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar. The court today accepted that prolonged imprisonment of a convict awaiting execution amounts to cruelty and violates the fundamental right to life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution.
Article 72 (i) of the Constitution lays down the powers of the President to grant pardons, reprieves, respites or remissions of punishment or to suspend, remit or commute the sentence of any person convicted of an offence where the sentence is a sentence of death, where the sentence or punishment is by court martial or where the punishment or sentence is for an offence against any law relating to a matter to which the executive power of the Union extends. But the powers of the President to decide such matters are limited and ultimately the Home Ministry gets to have the final say. Since no time bar has been put within which such pleas ought to be decided, delay in such cases are a common sight in India.
Fortunately, the judiciary today woke up to the plight of those awaiting pardons, and pronounced today that the prisoner should be executed within 14 days of a clemency appeal being rejected.
It is popularly believed that this landmark judgment could help Bhullar in getting a pardon. His family has claimed that he has become mentally ill. His mercy was rejected long ago in May 2011 by the President. The Supreme Court Bench also rejected his mercy plea last year, after which he filed another petition for review. The judgment is also seen as a first step to undo the harm done by the blatant abuse of human rights that have become a common practice in the name of criminal justice system in India.

BABA RAMDEV..REQUIRED??

PEOPLE OF INDIA-THE ONLOOKERS!!
now that we have seen how team anna is crumbling under its own pressure..my opinion which i expressed a few days ago is proved correct...team anna lacks a plan..a blueprint.they dont know where they are headed and where they "should"be headed..its definitely not a sign of a good revolution..a major question that now ought to be answered is, does team anna need a "baba ramdev"? or was it better of without him? baba ramdev's "connection" with BJP definitely doesnt reflect a good image that team anna has been striving to impress on the people of India.its funny to note how the people of India have been left to watch the "match" between team Anna and the government...AND  between team Anna and team Anna!!!

POLITICIZING OF A CAUSE.

Revolutions are celebrated when they are no longer dangerous.-PIERRE BOULEZ,1925,"GUARDIAN", 13TH OF JANUARY,1989
has team Anna crossed all limits?

now and then...true!!
Who is Anna Hazare? we better know him as the man behind igniting the idea of "Lokpal bill"in the minds of Indians today.Though Lokpal bill has not still found its existence on the pages of Indian Administration and Governance, team Anna has definitely found a new way to agitate the peace of mind of the Centre.we had vehemently supported the Lokpal bill.what we should not support is "missing the target"a and "beating around the bush" attitude.its dangerous for the country's future.alleging that the Prime Minister of India is corrupt is only fair if it is in sync with the earlier taken cause of team Anna-killing corruption wherever it exists.surprisingly if one turns back the pages of the whole team Anna chapter, it can be very evidently noticed that none of the BJP or prominent leaders of other parties have been asked to be probed.what is even more surprising is that team Anna claims that whatever they do or say is not "politically colored"while in the same go Anna requests Hissar electorate not to vote for Congress party?. a question which now should ring bells in our minds should be-do we still support team Anna like we did before? If no,then what has lead to this radical change in our perspectives? Tragedy-a "pro bono" cause has been politicized....atlast.

“You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore”

PAINT YOUR SELF WITH COLOURS YOU KNEW NOT EXISTED.
often in life,u meet a person.know that person and get attached thereafter.
last night while talking to a friend of mine,i realized that a person should find joy in himself.aptly put,a person is ones own source of happiness.we mundane people look around for people to provide us with our doses of happiness.what we actually should be doing is looking inside our own selves for the same.
for friends out there who find it difficult to get over people, here's a list of mantras which is time-proven and well tested personally by me:-
  • GO SHOP ALONE-buy stuffs u generally wont lay your hands on.or clothes you wont generally prefer because they are too fashionable for you or too outwardly.this without fail acts as a feel good factor.who would'nt want to look unusually hot??? n different??
  • GO PARTY ALONE-try it! you will be shocked at how much you love it.dance as u wish.with whom ever you wish.as long as u  wish.shout out the songs being played.no one will give a damn around you shouting, credit given to the high decibels of music already playing.
  • GO FOR A CONCERT OR TO AN ART SHOW ALONE-hit the concert you generally used to miss because "someone" found it boring (or too much to handle ;-) ). or go to an art show.the kind of people there will uplift your spirits because all are looking for meanings of life and human emotions in some inanimate thing.plus it will strike to you as a total opposite on how you see life.(trying to find meanings in animate stuff)
  • MEET OLD FRIENDS-if u have been avoiding people lately, you should refrain from doing it now.meeting old friends bring back old happy times.plus seeing them happy to see you assures your inner self that you are still wanted, and very much wanted.
  • JOIN HOBBY CLASSES-always wanted to learn belly dancing??why wait??if u have been yearning to learn how to cook better or sing better or for that matter play a guitar or be able to swim, this is the right time to learn.why?you are now flowing with positive energy which will lead you to self realization if given the right push in the right direction.who knows you may find a superstar in you?
                                                        SO HAPPY SELF DISCOVERY!! :-)
